Hey guys, just wondering what the biggest additions and changes are?
I haven't had time to really do any research. We may get it by/after Christmastime(that also goes for left4dead).

You should get L4D sooner! =p
I'll let Adam explain the AC stuff. He'd do better than me at that.

Obviously. But it's cool. I've actually built up a decent friends list, so I've got people to play with most of the time. Just beat Dead Air on Expert yesterday! One down, three to go.

Replying now as I have the time of thought (I'll look up the other stuff too, just don't feel like typing right now). Need to think of another them too as even though the tanuki feel is neat, the brown is really bothering me...
Animal Crossing V3-
Play wise: The gameplay is really fluid and nice. The layout is roughly 1.5 times larger then the first games land space, or, so it seems like since the view is set much like the second game, not as birds-eye view and no land gridding. The game can be controled with the Wii-mote and nunchuck or even the stick alone. The game is set up like any other AC; Get to town, get money, sim a life as a human in an animal town and just hang out.
The game broke the barrier on the amount of Bells needed to really "complete" the game, making it much more harder then both of the other games combined. So far, not only you have a house to pay off, but the Gracie clothing is now priced and also has furnature costing up to or past a final house payment and is sold seasonly, and in order to get neat items and things like an extra bridge and fountian (or windmill), you donate Bells to the Town Hall Fund. I'm guessing the pay breaking factor gives people a meaning to actually play the game more often (unlike the first one where you could literally get the house done in a week, and the second one at least a month and have a lot of neat stuff as well).
One thing I like, but haven't gotten to yet is the online play, which will work like the DS one. It is able to feature up to three other people in your town were you can trade items, upgrade the Nook Store (and I hear if you want, get Nook to downgrade back to the Safeway-iwh one), hold games, show off your house/town, or even just use the game as a chat thing.
Added/Subtracted stuff: Well, one thing you'll notice, again, is the camerawork. IT's set more of a 2/3 sky shot instead of 3/4. You can even toggle the sight in place but keeping still and hitting Up on the D-pad will zoom in, giving you a view of the sky above you and a helpful look at the ground (this also crops out trees and houses and such you're standing behind, letting you see behind them). Also, hitting Left or Right will equip your equipal items, be it a shovel, net, slingshot, or even held items like pinwills, bubble blowers, and dandylion puffs. Hitting Down respectively dequips whatever is in hand (can't do so if pockets are full).
Another thing they added is the acual use of that station thingie in the Town Hall. On the first game it was used as a Card Reader Station to let you download items/people/ect. into the game. And in the second AC, well, there isn't one I think, can't remember.... But in this one, it's your way to deposit/withdraw Bells in your account (yup, you have a bank account without having to pay off your house like in the first one), re-issuing your shopping card if you lost/got rid of it and wanted another (for the most part, I think it's just for use in Gracie Grace as it would be retarded to lug around all those bags of cash to buy a sofa there), and finally, paying that damn money grubbing tanuki, Nook. There are two ATMs in the game, in Town Hall, and in the city. Both are able to be used anytime of the day.
Another thing they added is the wonderful use of using your Mii head as a mask. It counts as a full head acessory and besides having a more personal touch, when wearing it and being stung by bees, NO ONE FREAKS OUT. Personal touch AND fugly face proof.
Things they took out? Well, Wild World was a game mostlikely played by one person, so, the house you lived in was shared (but had a large floor, an upstairs, and a wing lead from the main floor). In City Folk, Nintendo went back to one house per peep, and did the awesome thing of spreading the houses out in different areas. I think Nintendo got the hint that keeping all those damn dirty humans in one area was a bit specie-estic =P Another thing they took out is sign boards (I think). Instead, the WW floor patterns are still in effect (keeping Wendell's job of feeding him food to get fancy desings intact). I personally liked the sign boards more. Don't get me wrong, you can do neat things with the floor patterns, but the signs had a cute charm....
Pros of the game-
- The Friend Code will work for this game, as, well, it's simple and was MADE for the game. Unlike Brawl =[
- Like how WW let you type on the touch screen for faster talking, CF lets you use a USB keyboard and even has that Wii Speak mic for talking
- You can't say there isn't enough things to catch or stuff to buy. Seriously 8|
- They added not only time limits to chores like in WW, but have new things like Hide-n-Seak, and relaying messages to OTHER HUMAN PLAYERS.
- I think you can bitch to the Town Hall and manually boot out people that piss you off. Yup. File a complaint on their ass and kick them off the island. ...LOL.
Cons of the game-[/i] - TOO MANY DAMN THINGS TO CATCH D8
- Some holidays are a bit too time constrictive... (meaning day time and night time folks will miss out on things)
- When paying off your house, I guess either Nintendo thought basements were useless or god saves, as they are the final upgrade to the house. No asking for one before second floor expantion
- The Auction House. I don't get it so that's why it's up here
- Catchphrases are too damn easy to spread/get stuck EVERYWHERE. And the 'mals always ask you to make a greeting for them more often then their phrase. Like it matters though. Wachung
- No god damn run-only button. In the other two games, the shoulder buttons let you run without picking anything up. In City Folk, the B and under button thingy on the nunchuck are the same button, so, careful wanting to run out of your house or over anything pick up-able
- There is a problem with wanting to pick up an item in your house, and grabbing something to your side sometimes X/
- Also, unlike the other two games, dropping something huge won't push you back to make room when dropped. Instead you get a fuck you box saying 'No room' like you're trying to sit a fat walrus in your tiny dinning area for a fish dinner and don't see how it's impossable it is to accomidate for 'im =| That, and even if it does fit, it can be finiky trying to drop a large item IN THAT SPOT. ...fucking x-mas tree and piano....
- It looks like there's a possibility Nintendo thought EVERYONE AND THEIR DOG will go online with the game, forcing you to interact with others to get forien fruit (it's not a big thing, as animals don't ask for them, and it's not like fruit costs a lot like in the other games, but still...)
- Stuff's price is changed (not bad, but is inconveniant to anyone who studied the prices from the other two games).
Over all, it IS a cool ass game and has the best of both other games mixed in. But there are a few things that will pick at you, even if they are minor, and make you want to just beat the fuck out of someone =P When Eddeh get's the game or I find someone I know with it, I'll try the online play and report. I am NOT doing random hook ups with online people as we don't have an Action Replay/homebrew channel to back up our town data and I don't want to risk us deleting our town because some ghey grievers planted rocks in front of our gate/store/house or something.[/color] Game rating 7 out of 10. Really cool, but has it's tiny things that poke at you. A lot.

Need name and town name also.
I'll get you mine later today, if you're online. Which you should, because I'm bored. And I'm gonna be bored all day. My OB64 game froze right during the boss fight of the most annoying mission in the game, and it's just too depressing to play again. I'm probably gonna put that game back on the shelf for a while. So I wanna play L4D.

Yeah we did that. You got all my information right? I haven't had a chance to put it in yet but I probably will tonight during my fishing run (I just got equipment after getting my first song).

Huh? Gate opening? Dude, it's simple... You have to be on, one of us has to be on, and either we come to your town (you put "Invite guests while we go "going out" at the Gate, or vice versa). Only real problem is will NPG let us connect for that long? So far, it took me almost seven hours to get my FC (though Shawn was first try and in under a minute =| ). First two 'open gates' I tried, first session was cut (but it got me my FC), and the second one lasted around an hour or so. It was ironic as I was thinking on quitting and the Wii must have read my thoughts, thinking it needed to quit too, thus Ressetti screening me (it's a cute blue screen of doom with a chickie and Resetti in a soft cardboard cell style). We should set something up sometime and trade furnature/wallpaper/flooring/stuff. Mostly on a day turnips are fuggin expensive to sell at (horray stalk market!).

Yeah, I know how the gates work, it's just a pain.
The stalk market has sucked in Kalasil, they were selling for like 37 bells in nooks shop, when Joan had them up for sale, they were 100 bells a pop.

That sucks. It's been pretty average here - I've only once taken a loss. But I haven't been buying turnips lately.
